SPONSORED WALK & TOUR UPDATE
Seaview holidays have informed me that there are now 30 bungalows booked for our tour next year, so with an average of 4 in a property we should have around 120 people there next year. This is the most we have ever had going and there are possibly still more to book. Which shows what a popular event it has become.
So it was very disappointing to have such a low turnout on Saturday for our sponsored walk. We actually had less than 50 people taking part, who are going on the tour. This is normally our only fund raising event for the tour but with such a low number taking part, other events may have to be arranged. This is to ensure that the target figure can be reached, so that the tour can be a success. It is important everyone who is going on the tour tries to take an active role in the fundraising.
This will be our last tour to the Isle Of Wight and I would like it to be the best one we have had but without the funds we will struggle.
Well done to all those who did and could take part on Saturday, if everyone can start collecting their sponsor money and please pay it in by the end of October. A record will be kept of what is paid in and anyone is free to see it when ever they want to. A final figure will be annouced at the beginning of November.
